American Meteorological Society Named Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by American Meteorological Society
The American Meteorological Society (AMS) manages a set of senior undergraduate scholarships that were created to honor individuals or to memorialize loved ones. These awards are intended to support exemplary students who plan to pursue degrees in atmospheric science or closely related oceanic or hydrologic fields. Current college juniors should apply now for funding to cover the academic year beginning in fall 2026. Scholarship amounts range from $2,000 to $10,000.
Selection is based on academic merit; certain named scholarships emphasize characteristics or interests associated with the honoree. In addition to the monetary award, recipients are invited to attend the AMS Annual Meeting during their senior year with partial support: complimentary meeting registration and a hotel stay are provided (travel expenses are not covered).
