Deadline and How to Apply Eligible applicants for a Maryland 4-H Foundation scholarship must submit their application online by 11:59 PM on June 15, 2026. Applications must be completed on the online form, typed, signed by the applicant, and time-stamped by the deadline. Eligibility Criteria - Must be a current Maryland 4‑H member or a Maryland 4‑H alumnus/alumna in good standing, with at least two (2) years of membership in Maryland 4‑H. - Must intend to enroll in an accredited college, university, or post‑secondary technical training program for both the fall and spring semesters of the 2026–2027 academic year. - Each applicant may receive no more than one (1) scholarship per year, and may receive scholarships for up to two (2) years; after receiving scholarships for two years, the applicant becomes ineligible to apply further. - Students who will complete their post‑secondary program in December 2026 are not eligible to apply. Required Application Materials The online application must include the following items; applications missing any required component will be deemed incomplete and will not be reviewed: - Unofficial transcript from your most recent academic institution. - Essay responding to the prompt: Describe a passion you discovered, developed, or shared through your 4‑H experience. Provide specific examples of your 4‑H involvement and explain how those experiences have prepared you to be “Beyond Ready.” Describe how this passion has shaped your academic interests and future career goals. - Completed Leadership, 4‑H Involvement, and Citizenship charts (these forms are provided within the application). - One letter of recommendation from an individual involved in your 4‑H experience (for example: 4‑H Club Leader, 4‑H Educator, or a significant 4‑H volunteer). - Any additional special criteria required for particular scholarships (see the Available Scholarships section for details on scholarship‑specific requirements). Additional Information A copy of the application that replicates the online form is available to help you gather the necessary information and documents before beginning your online submission. Remember: only fully completed applications submitted and time‑stamped by 11:59 PM on June 15, 2026 will be considered.
