University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship

Overview
- When you submit a complete scholarship application it will automatically be reviewed by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF). If you meet other organizations’ criteria, your same submission may also be considered for additional awards administered through UAF. Check each organization’s page on the website for their specific eligibility rules and award details.
Deadline
- All applications must be completed by March 31, 2026. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
Who is eligible
- Full-time students enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university, or at an ASE/NATEF-certified post‑secondary automotive, heavy-duty, or collision repair school.
- High school seniors who will enroll as full-time students at one of the institutions above.
- There is no GPA requirement.
- Applicants who will not graduate from their current college before December of the award year.
Note for applicants planning to attend a Canadian college
- If you are attending or plan to attend a college in Canada, use the separate application for Canadian students (see the link on the site).
Start your U.S. application
- If you plan to attend a U.S. institution, begin by clicking the Apply Online button at the top of this page.
Saving and returning to your application
- You do not have to finish the entire application in one session. Log back in and use the Update Your Application button to retrieve and edit your submission. You may make updates up until March 31.
Required application materials
1. A one-page essay outlining your career goals (required).
- Optional: You may upload a short video to YouTube and paste the link on your application.
2. At least one letter of reference (required).
- Some partner organizations require the reference to come from one of their members or from your automotive instructor — check each organization’s page on the Scholarship Page for specifics.
3. Transcripts: submit your high school transcript, and if you are already in a post‑secondary program, include your college transcript.
4. Review each organization’s eligibility requirements on its Scholarship Page; additional conditions may apply.
Important submission instructions
- Transcripts and reference letters are required to complete your application. Make sure your name appears clearly on every page.
- How to provide supporting documents:
- Attach them directly to your online application, or
- Mail to: Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship Committee, C/O MEMA; P.O. Box 13966; Research Triangle Park, NC 27709-3966, or
- Email to aftermarket@mema.org
- Put your name and “Automotive Scholarship Application Information” in the email subject line.
- Describe any attached files in the body of the email.

- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
- Veterans: scholarships awarded through this program are intended to be paid in addition to your GI Bill benefits and will not reduce those benefits.
