Overview
Philadelphia Injury Lawyers P.C. offers an annual $500 scholarship to support students pursuing careers in personal injury law. The award will be decided through an essay contest on a personal-injury-related topic.
Who May Apply
- U.S.-based students currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or law degree program are eligible. Applicants who are undergraduates planning to attend law school in the future may also apply.
- You must be actively enrolled in a U.S. undergraduate, graduate, or law school at the time of application.
Submission Requirements
- Essays must include the author’s full name, mailing address, phone number, current major, and the name of their college or university.
- Send entries as a .pdf file only to phillyinjuryscholarship@mail.com.
- All materials must be received by July 31, 2026.
- The scholarship recipient will be posted on our website on August 31, 2026.
2026 Essay Prompt
States vary in how they limit awards for tort claims. To what degree, if at all, should damages in personal injury cases be subject to caps? Is there a reasonable middle ground that balances punitive awards with the defendant’s financial capacity, or should the gravity of the injury alone determine award size?
