How to apply
Begin or continue your submission through the Foundation’s online portal. This scholarship is part of the Consolidated Scholarship Application; by applying you will also be considered for other matching opportunities included in that consolidated process.
Selection process
Applications are reviewed and recipients selected by a committee made up of Community Foundation staff and community representatives.
Notification and disbursement
Awardees will receive an email notification with instructions in the spring. The Foundation sends the scholarship payment to the college or university in the fall as one lump sum and the institution divides it evenly between fall and spring terms after required documentation is provided.
Required documentation and deadlines for payment
- To release the initial payment: upload your class schedule and tuition bill (showing enrollment and that you are pursuing a degree in medicine, science, or music) to the Community Foundation’s Scholarship Portal between July 1 and August 15.
- To release each subsequent annual payment: upload an unofficial transcript, current class schedule, and tuition bill (verifying continued enrollment in the qualifying program and a minimum 3.0 GPA) to the Scholarship Portal between July 1 and August 15.
Unclaimed scholarships for an assigned year that are not claimed by February 15 will be forfeited.
Renewability
The scholarship may be renewed up to three times (for a total of four consecutive years) provided the recipient meets the ongoing documentation and academic requirements noted above.
