MPhA Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Maryland Pharmacists Association
The Maryland Pharmacists Association (MPhA) and the Maryland Pharmacists Association Foundation (MPhA Foundation) are committed to providing student pharmacists with the opportunity to invest in the future of the pharmacy profession, and its potential innovations and advancements. The student scholarship is in line with both MPhA and MPhA Foundation’s missions.
MPhA’s mission is to strengthen the profession of pharmacy, advocate for all Maryland Pharmacists, and promote excellence in pharmacy practice; while the MPhA Foundation invests in the future of pharmacy by supporting student pharmacists, recognizing practice innovation and advancements, and enhancing philanthropy that supports leadership.
The MPhA and MPhA Foundation will provide four student pharmacist members with $1,500 scholarships.
Qualified applicants are considered for all available scholarships for which they apply without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital status, or the presence of a medical condition or disability.
Section A: Eligibility Criteria
- Attending a School of Pharmacy in Maryland, or a Maryland resident attending an out-of-state School of Pharmacy at the time of application submission
- Be a student member of the Maryland Pharmacists Association
- Be a student in good academic and in good disciplinary standing at their School of Pharmacy
Section B: Application Requirements
Submit the following:
- A completed online application form by the deadline (See Section C: below.)
- A current curriculum vitae
- Two letters of recommendation (One must be from a faculty member)
- An essay of no more than 750 words on ONE of the following topics:
- How you, as a student pharmacist, would help to promote the profession of pharmacy This may include what you are currently doing, as well as, your aspirations for practice innovation and advancements, and/or through future leadership.
- What excites you about the profession of pharmacy?
- What do you expect by becoming a member of the Maryland Pharmacists Association (or other state or national pharmacy organization) the association will do for you and how would you support and contribute to the association?
Section C: Scholarship Application Submission
- Complete the application form on the Maryland Pharmacists Association’s web site. This includes uploading and attaching files (PDF format) for: (1) CV, and (2) essay. NOTE: The online application form cannot be saved; please submit all information at one time. If needed, multiple submissions will be allowed, and application materials will be collated.
- Send this link to the individuals who will submit your letter of recommendation. Letter of Recommendation Upload.
- ALL application materials, including letters of recommendation, must be submitted by the deadline: April 7, 2025
