2026 Dwyer Williams Cherkoss Attorneys, P.C. Law School Scholarship
Dwyer Williams Cherkoss Attorneys, P.C., a leading personal-injury law firm in Oregon, will award three scholarships to incoming law students beginning their first year in Fall 2026. The program is intended to offset first-year costs for applicants who have completed an undergraduate degree and gained admission to an accredited law school in the United States.
Awards (total value: $10,000)
- First place: $5,000
- Second place: $3,000
- Third place: $2,000
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. undergraduate institution.
- Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Be accepted to begin their first year of law school in Fall 2026.
Required Application Materials (due by June 30, 2026)
Submit all items listed below by the deadline:
1. Completed Scholarship Application Form.
2. A typed essay, 1–3 pages in length. Topics are open; examples include personal or family background, accomplishments, overcoming challenges, volunteer work, professional aspirations as a future attorney, or any matter of personal significance.
3. Undergraduate transcripts (official or unofficial accepted). Note: if you use transcript services such as Parchment, be aware that access links can expire before we retrieve documents.
4. Proof of acceptance to an accredited U.S. law school (for example, an official acceptance letter or an acceptance email from the school).
5. Proof of legal U.S. residency (acceptable documents include a state-issued ID, U.S. passport, birth certificate, or permanent resident card).
6. A personal email address you will have access to in late summer so we can contact you if selected.
Award Terms and Disbursement
- Scholarship funds must be applied solely toward law school tuition and related educational expenses.
- Payments will be issued by check and made payable directly to the recipient’s law school.
- Recipients will be required to provide receipts to verify proper use of the funds in compliance with IRS requirements.
- Notification of winners will be made on or about August 15, 2026.
Deadline
All application materials must be received by June 30, 2026.
