Intro
We fund the next generation of bilingual speech-language pathologists and school psychologists by awarding scholarships to students who are entering their final academic year. Bilingual Therapies scholarship awards can be as large as $9,000.
Eligibility overview
- Applicants must be bilingual and enrolled in an appropriate graduate or doctoral training program.
- Awards target students who are beginning their last year of study or internship, depending on the discipline and degree level (details below).
Speech‑Language Pathology scholarships
- Bilingual speech‑language pathology (SLP) students in the final year of their graduate program are eligible.
- Scholarship support for qualified SLP candidates is up to $7,000.
- Recipients also receive tailored preparation and support to transition into school-based roles serving culturally and linguistically diverse children.
School psychology scholarships
We offer two competitive scholarship tracks for bilingual school psychology students:
- Master’s-level track: Up to $7,000 for bilingual master’s students who are entering their internship year.
- Doctoral-level track: Up to $9,000 for bilingual doctoral students who are currently in their internship year and approaching completion of the doctoral program.

Scholarship recipients gain access to a dedicated support team that helps launch their careers. Services include exclusive job listings, a personal recruiter assigned prior to graduation, and career preparation such as mock interviews, resume guidance, and step‑by‑step licensure checklists — all aimed at preparing you to effectively serve bilingual students in schools.
How to apply
The application package includes:
- A short essay
- A personal information sheet
- A current resume
Qualified applicants will also participate in a personal interview during which proficiency in the applicant’s second language will be assessed.
Post‑award requirement
Recipients must commit to full‑time employment with Bilingual Therapies for one year following the successful completion of their professional degree.
