Trapshooting Hall of Fame College Scholarships

INTRODUCTION
The Trapshooting Hall of Fame is awarding seven scholarships this year: five scholarships of $5,000 each (distributed over four years) and two one-time scholarships of $1,000 each. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are active members of the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA). Recipients of the four-year awards must enroll full time at an accredited college or university and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to remain eligible.
AWARD NOTES
- Five $5,000 scholarships — paid out across four years (renewal contingent on maintaining at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA).
- Two $1,000 scholarships — single payment awards reserved for graduating seniors who demonstrate financial need and who reside in Wyoming or Idaho.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible you must:
- Be a graduating high school senior.
- Be an active ATA member.
- Be enrolled, or in the process of enrolling, in an accredited college or university for the Fall term of your graduating year (full-time enrollment required).
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Not have any family relationship with a trustee or officer of the Trapshooting Hall of Fame.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS — FOLLOW THESE EXACTLY
Applications that do not follow these instructions may not be considered.
- Complete and submit the Scholarship Application in full. Applications must be typed and signed by the applicant. Handwritten applications will not be accepted.
- Include a short essay (maximum 100 words) describing your financial need.
- Submit a copy of your high school transcript showing, at minimum, first-semester senior-year grades and your cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. An unofficial transcript is acceptable.
- Provide copies of SAT and/or ACT score reports.
- Attach a signed letter of recommendation from one of the following: your high school guidance counselor, your State ATA Delegate, or a Certified Instructor.
- Include a record of your trapshooting activity (years participated, major wins, records, etc.).
